🐾 The Short Version
PawsOff does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data, browsing history, or any other information. Everything the extension does happens entirely on your own device.
📦 What Data We Collect
None. PawsOff does not collect any personally identifiable information, analytics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind. The only data that exists is your personal preferences (site list, timers), which are stored locally in your browser using the Chrome storage.local API and never leave your device.
🔑 Permissions We Use & Why
- storage: To save your preferences (guarded sites list, usage limit, break duration) locally on your device. This data is never transmitted anywhere.
- activeTab / scripting: To detect when you navigate to one of your guarded sites so the overlay can be shown at the right time. This detection is entirely local.
- webNavigation: To monitor page navigations and accurately measure your time spent on guarded sites. No URLs or page data are stored or transmitted.
🌐 Third-Party Services
PawsOff does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels, crash reporting tools, or remote code of any kind. There are no external servers that receive any data from this extension.
🔄 Data Sharing & Sales
Since we collect no data, there is nothing to share, sell, or transfer to third parties. We certify the following:
- We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.
- We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's core functionality.
- We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
